Hi a Carinus coin from Lugdunum, RIC223 VIRTVS AVGG,is discribed as:
VIRTVS AVGG, Virtus st. right, holding Spear and Parazonium, foot on Helmnet.

Recently I aquired another specimen without spear, but what is it? All opinions are welcome.

Maybe in the second one he is holding it at a different angle and pointing it upwards. Seriously thats just a guess, though.
