What is the oldest coin featuring the portrait of Alexander III?

As for the bronzes (bow and club), are only ones with a delta next to the bow or E under the bow a lifetime issue? As well as a horse without a rider or an eagle?

Does Zeus with uncrossed legs represent a lifetime issue? And is this an example of uncrossed legs?

The bronze bow and club and prancing horse issues are lifetime issues except when they have the legend BASILEOS, those are considered posthumous issues.

As I stated in an earlier posts, on drachm and tetradrachm the crossed legs are posthumous issues and the uncrossed legs are lifetime issues.

I fixed the link. The coin is rough, but if it's a lifetime, I like it. It has a test cut that tells a story too. It appears to me the legs are not crossed because I think I can see both feet.

Thanks for the info guys. Any links to credible readings is appreciated. This started as an educated attempt to buy a gift and has turned into me trying to master identification of Alexander III lifetime issues. I'm an engineer, so that's my disease. This is quite fun though.

And what is the first coin minted with the bust of Alexander? I wanted to get a lifetime issue and one with his face side by side.

As for the Miletos drachm its hard to say if it is lifetime, based on the condition. I would lean towards yes. Miletos was one of the first mints to produce the type. These coins don't really have the best of Alexander but Alexander like features on Hercules. At the time it was taboo to put the face of a living / mortal man on a coin. Coins with the true bust of Alexander first appear under the reign of Al's general King Lysimachos of Thrace. Here is a good read for you...

I know his bust doesn't appear until much later, so I know there aren't lifetime issues of his bust, just wondering which was the first Alex bust. I think I've seen some from Ptolemy.
