Ok, I may have struck out on the '64 I posted earlier. But I really think this is the '84 RPM. Confirm?

There is one listed in the CONECA files. But your coin isn't from this die. Hard to tell for sure if it is a RPM or slight Machine Doubling. If it is a RPM, then it is minor.

I was thinking it looked a lot like the one listed in that Nickel RPM ebook I downloaded from Variety Vista.

I've looked at the book some more, and compared to my pics. I feel pretty sure that's it. And the coin is in really good condition too.

Did you note the location of the mint mark? Also the center of the mint mark show the RPM. Does your coin have that area affected. The 001 is a lot strong also.

Hard to see down inside that thing. I'll try to get a look.

Ok, I revived this thread because I think I finally have a clear picture. Looks to me like the inside of the mint mark is also affected, just like the CONECA image. Hopefully this can lock it down for sure. What do you think? RPM?

Here's a picture of the CONECA image next to mine:

I am by no means an expert but it looks spot on to me after checking images to compare. Hopefully one of the experts can confirm but I think you got it

Thanks, I feel pretty confident. But here's my next question. What is this thing worth? I've been looking all over the internet, and I can't find where anyone has sold one. There are no listings on ebay, and I can't find anything when I google it. Does any other CCF member have one? Also, what do you think it would grade? It's pretty close to having full steps. Here are a couple more full coin pics:

I'm getting worried since nobody has responded. I'm guessing it's the only one in the world and it's worth $10,000! Or, more likely, nobody keeps it because it's only worth a nickel...

I put it on the grading forum too. No luck there yet either. It's the mystery coin!
