Just posted this on Days of Indian Head cents and noticed a double 6. If anyone could let me know which Snow Variety this is, I would really appreciate it!!

There is a lot of crud inside the numbers, especially the nine, so I tried to take a few close ups of the numbers themselves.

S6 has a repunched 6 that looks very similar to your coin, but your coin appears to have a repunched 9 also which I can't find in Snow's book. However, my book is not the latest edition and there may be varieties that I don't have.

Hello Robbudo, there is no repunching at the top right of the "1". Also, looking through a 30X microscope, the doubling of the "9" looks more like debris instead of metal. Thanks for your help!

I think I would put a drop of Verdi-Care on the date and let it soak awhile. After 2 or 3 days gently pick at the debris in and around the numbers.
