Ok, I'm new here and I thought I should have got that out of the way. Anyhow, I have these coins:
1922 Peace dollar I paid $25 for it

Reverse

1889 Morgan dollar I paid $10.50! (I see some going for $30-$60!)

Also, it says XF in the corner, but I just wanted to make sure.

1937 Walking Liberty half I paid $15 for it
(it says $20 in the corner, but some guy at the flea market really likes me because I go there almost every week, so he gives me discounts.) This one says M.S.60, but I still think that it's better.

1969 D Franklin half dollar I paid $10

I was also wondering if the Peace dollar and the Franklin Dollar were cleaned because they are very shiny, almost to shiny, but if you look closely, you can see some dirt in between the numbers on for the date on the Franklin half and on the top and sides of the reverse of the Peace dollar. Also, both of them don't have the "cartwheel effect". And last, why is the reverse of the Morgan dollar cleaner than the obverse, the obverse looks kind of yellowish, while the reverse more silvery colored.(It might be hard to notice in the pictures.)

I'm not sure about the rest but, the 1937P Walker looks a lot better than MS-60 to me ..I would say more like MS-63/4.

So they were all cleaned except for the WLH? Also what does altered surface mean?

From your photos and description (no cartwheel effect) it appears someone has purposely attempted to improve the appearance of the coin. The photo shows mint luster (frost in the fields), but it should also cartwheel. Luster w/o cartwheel would indicate someone has added the luster (via whizzing most likely). The hobby calls this attempt at improvement "altered surfaces".

Unfortunately all but the WLH appear to be cleaned. Note the halo effect around the devices. Here's the reverse of your Morgan with two spots circled:

Note how the fields lack luster but the area around the devices retain luster. Normal wear will not create this stark contrast. The coin was wiped to increase shine.

Caveat - Grading from photos is completely dependent on photo quality. If requesting grading assistance it really helps if the poster insures the photos accurately depict the coin as it appears in-hand. I've seen some poor photos of quality coins that don't get high grades here. Conversely, grades with quality photos are usually spot-on.
Rest in Peace

The Peace dollar looks interesting. It looks like the devices were cleaned, but the fields look frosty. Are you sure it doesn't cartwheel? The pics are small, but it looks more like natural luster in the fields to me as opposed to a whiz job...but it still looks cleaned. I agree with the rest of SeatedNuts Assessment.

Ok, I just discovered that if I hold the Peace dollar at a very very (nearly flat) angle, I can see the cartwheel effect. I can also see it on the Morgan Dollar(barely). Sadly I still can't see it on the Franklin half.
