It's a one sen coin. The two characters on the bottom picture say that.一eŒ¢

It's also year two of showa, which is 1927. It says, at the bottom of the first picture "year two" and then the name of the emperor, which is showa. 年二å'Œæ˜­

Also says 本 日 大 which is japan big, as far as I can tell , but that's from my Chinese, I don't know any Japanese.

Japanese during this period is read right to left, so the characters 本日大 mean (roughly) "great Japan" with the characters for Empire omitted.

What a beautiful red Showa 2 one Sen!

Thanks so much! This came in a lot with about 25 other Japanese coins but this was the highest grade, might even send to get graded since it appears to be a decent date...
