hello Everyone,
Thought I'd post my latest find and tell you about the one that got away. I did manage to get this one today at a show here in St. Louis, I'm still working on the attribution.
One-That-Got-Away

I found what I thought looked like an 1868 DDO 1-O-V 868/868 with doubled letters in LIBERTY. I realized I left my 5x and 16x loops in the car and really needed the 16, so I asked the dealer to hold the coin until I returned from the car. When I got back, he told me the coin was sold, so much for holding the coin. I'm pretty sure he gave it a second look after I left his table, he was watching me pretty close and knew I seen something he missed. Well, you win some and lose some, I'll learn to keep the tools of the trade with me at all times.
