these $20 Canadian bills.

I found $180 in total and four toonies, some quarters and dimes.

Do you think the bank would take any of these $20's? lol

That is quite a find. It looks like it was in a fire or buried.

I don't know what they do up there, but in the US the person can submit a claim to the BEP. I don't know what banks here do as far as accepting mutilated currency as I have never had to deal with that.

You could always call and ask your local bank what to do.

about calling up your local bank or doing some Internet research.

Those are pretty rough!

Looks like they've been missing quite some time. I don't recall what the specifics are - I think it used to be both serial numbers or one serial number with both signatures, but just phone your bank, as mentioned, and ask them.

Bank of Canada contaminated and mutilated banknotes guidelines. They don't say how much of a note they need, only that each submission is "specially examined to determine their value".
Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis

You should call the police on this matter. Could be another case of abandoned bills stolen from a bank. Are you in 53 or 13 division by any chance? Any dye/ink on them that shouldn't be there? Any sequential serial numbers?

If they're legit then the bank should give you the full value for only having 51% of the note. Take them to a different bank.

Ignore what the bank told you and follow the information on the link that Sap posted. Most likely they are NOT worthless.

Agree with what Candor said. Just because a teller/bank doesn't want to deal with it doesn't mean it is the end of the road.
However, if it is worthless then sell it on ebay. Someone will buy that for sure.
