Recently, I've been saving all of the decent-looking State Quarter from my cash drawer, trying to get a set of good looking ones.

However, I'm not that familiar with grading, and would just like to get an idea of where these quarters would fall under.

Shown is a pair of P and D Maryland quarters:

Most likely would grade AU. They seem to have a bit of the luster remaining, which helps. Let me know how you do with the colletion... I only need Texas D, and DC D to complete mine.

The top one looks like it might pass for uncirculated. I can see some abrasions on the building of the second one, dropping it to AU.

Funny enough, this Texas-D was the first coin I found that gave me an interest in finding some good looking State Quarters.

I remember when I was counting my drawer, this one just looked so shiny and new that I had to keep it.

The Texas quarter does look uncirculated. Nice keeper!

1) AU-58.
2) AU-53.
3) MS-64.

All these grades are based on the one side of the coins you posted. A more accurate grade is based on both sides.

Oh yeah, I get that part. Mainly I wanted to get an idea of what the backsides would look like, since most likely I'll only be collecting these for my own personal enjoyment.

Although now that you mention it, I'll probably try to post at least the obverse of the Texas quarter.
