Quote: ...i must be out of my flipping head.. Excellent pun, Cassidy! (intended or not) I sympathize with you (and the Monster too) and I hope your coins will arrive in time for you to make it to Monaco. You do know that the Grand Prix has already taken place there for this year? But I bet you'll find lots of other things to keep you occupied in Monaco.

I just got notification that my ebay presale gold wont be arriving for another month or so ...and confirms the rumor that the RCM is really messing with the pooch on this one if you dont mind me using an old numismatic expression.....

Any delay for "hot" item just causes to increase of the prices on the secondary market. But, if the interest is only due to hype - the decrease of the price will be more drastic, when the coin will be available.
same was with: Two Loons GITD 1-st BoC $5 and $10 gold coins
But the behavior of them is different, since some just hyped and some have real numismatic value.
I believe, the Superman coins will be similar to BoC - once raised, will stop, and will be traded more or less for the price of "first jump"

I've said this before and will say again, RCM has been good this past year. Hadn't really delay that many coin (if any). Most of the coins I've ordered arrived in time. This is the first coin that delayed so far in the last year or so.

This is not shipping delay, they really improved the shipment. Looks like production or something. as per shipment: I got from RCM Emily Carr coin, but not the Superman.

it is true that this is the first real RCM delay this year. Wonder what's the hold up?

Speaking of delays. I just spent 45mins waiting on the phone with the mint just to wait another 15 to be transferred to customer solutions.
5 of my coins were shipped to an address that I have not lived at or used in the last 2 years plus. I called and was told I'd have to wait for the coins to be returned to them before they could ship me replacements. Lucky for me the new owner returned to sender.
Called them last Wed because I noticed one of my coins was being reprocessed. I asked them about the other 4 they said they must have missed it and that they would process them in a day or two. I checked on Fri and did not see an update. I called them today ( 1 hour or more waiting on the phone ) to find a puzzled operator because there was no note to reprocess them, even worst the tone changed from puzzled to annoyed....I was then told they were very busy and that they would get it done when they got around to it. You'd think the money I paid them with a month ago was fake or something.

Is the delay the only problem or is there something else?

Quote: Is the delay the only problem or is there something else? Isn't the delay enough, Jumpy? Of course we could throw in being rude to a good customer, long waits on the phone, deteriorating quality control, an excessive number of new coins being issued every month, meaningless Master Club memberships, and too much coffee, just to name a few. Oh no, wait, that last one is for you, Jumpy...

If no one is recevying a certain coin I don't care about the delay. The problem is when they ship some of them so some people have the coins and the rest has to wait.

That was Arianzo. But for me the same. At the beginning of the collection, I didn't care, but now, I don't like that the delay artificially raise the price up.
