2 Unknown Engraved Coins/Tokens - Coin Community Forum

canary01 Valued Member Netherlands 202 Posts	Posted 05/13/2014 09:02 am I recently bought this two engraved tokens but have no idea what it is. they both have a diameter of 27mm The first coin has an engraving of 'thomas ford 1787' Can anyone tell me something about them? So I suspect they are the initials "IG" or perhaps "JG" (since I and J were pretty much interchangeable as the first letter in a name back then), rather than a denomination "1G". Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis Report this Post to the Staff
