Yes it does. Looks to big to be a quarter.

The toning looks OK but the off center strike bothers me.
I'm sure the more knowledgeable of the series will chime in later and possibly prove me wrong base don die markers ETC which makes the classic series and logging their history and dies pairs and progressions so great.

Don't know too much about US coins, but it looks fake to me too. The shape of the stars and wear on them look rather too uneven. Pic is too small for me to tell for sure though.

No experience with spotting fakes, but comparing it to PCGS pics- the "UAR" on the reverse looks off. The skinny part of each of those letters does not look skinny enough. Also, the "Liberty" on the obverse looks shiny, when all other pics looks dark. Value that info at what you paid for it! :)

I won't come down hard based on such small pics, but nothing on this coin really stands out as alarming which can't be ascribed to the imagery. It's a pretty common issue, as well.

To me, it does not look that fake. I see what you mean by the thick letters on the reverse, but could it be thickness caused by a double die? Here is a picture of a genuine example for comparison.

Not versed in this coin, but my first impression FWIW is that it is real.

I have no objections to the reverse, but is it normal to have some of the stars having an uneven shape?

The phenomenon with the stars is a very common occurrence of the coinage of this era. For some issues, it is actually unusual for the stars to not look like this.

Not to mention, whatever those stars might "look like" is well within the margin for error on such small photos. Individual details in such small images can be only a pixel or two wide, and with differing monitors you might not be seeing the exact same thing I am.

I guess I shouldn't judge classic coins too harshly if the shapes they aren't that accurate then. And I agree with the pics being too small.

Based on those images alone I would not be worried. If you have the coin in-hand and can verify the weight and dimensions as within tolerance then it's almost certainly genuine.

Well I see it on ebay for a much, much lower price than it should be and the auction is about to end. Seller doesn't have much feedback, only about 40 sales total, most Non-coin related. I'll put a bid in and see. If it's fake I guess I can always get my money back. What bothers me most, well the only thing that bothers me is the off-center strike.
