At first, I thought it was a badly mangled coin and a great example of PMD, then took another look. The denticles continue where they should be on the coin, however, the rim stretches further down. It could have been pinched and had acid poured on it, but that doesn't seem to explain the location of the denticles, especially on the reverse...
