I am thinking AU details: cleaned. Some of devices and portrait kind of have a halo around it. Maybe it's the lighting but the slightly yellowish brown looks a little off to me.

An awesome coin. Maybe he'll give you a defective silver dollar.

Quote: My supposedly good friend traded me this other defective penny... I KNEW this friend struck again. Well the nerve. My offer to trade for a non-defective cent stands for this as well. This is my first time offering a guess (I do not even dare say opinion) on a Lincoln but I would guess XF details. Shame on him/her!

Thanks for the grades. This coin graded problem free XF45. It does look like an AU, though I see the coloration issue that was mentioned. No hairlines or signs of polishing, but angled in the light it gives off some odd colors; so I think PCGS silently netted it for an old cleaning of sorts. I am really terrible at photographing copper in slabs, or I could do a better job of capturing the look of the coin at different angles. I still really like it though, and it has a bit of remaining luster hiding beneath blue iridescent areas in the most protected parts of the coin.

I think you should crack it out, photograph it, and then send it back in!
Kidding aside. That's a nice looking XF45!
