The listing is $45, and shown are two VG or so 3-cent nickels and a BU 1881. Something seems fishy here...

Well, first of all, the photo isn't sharp, second of all not enough detail, but most important, coins have three sides, photos are only of one.

The photos are horrible. The odd combining of two low grade and one high grade coin in the same lot raises some red flags, especially since the photos do not allow for an examination of the coins. No revere pictures is another red flag. It MIGHT be a good deal if the 1881 is a high grade, but not if it has been cleaned/polished or if it is a chinese counterfeit. (And yes chinese counterfeits of the common date 1881 do exist.)

It's the worm on the hook. The picture suggests it is high quality but how do you dispute it if you get a compromised one?

The 1881 is not uncirculated as the OP stated. It definitely shows wear in the picture and appears no better than EF and cleaned.
