I am planning to start selling and want to change my ebay user name as it contains my name and part iof DOB. Is this possible and if so would I lose my buyer ratings ? Also those of you sellers, do you use your own home address or PO box ? Thanks. |

Yes, you can change your user name. You don't lose any rating. I use my own home address. You're very welcome.

All that will happen is your new name will have an icon for "recent name change". I think it will be on there for 30 days

Is that for your user name or personal name on your account in your address?

Only user name. You'll get a sunglasses icon next to your name for a while. Can you even change your personal name?

I'm not sure. I was wondering that though. I know you can't change it unless it is a minor spelling error on paypal.

Not true, you CAN change your username every 3-6 months.

It addition to the sunglass icon for a while, it's possible to click that and see the user's former names, so anyone would still be able to see your old one.

I'm flabbergasted that an ebay seller would use a home address insteadof a PO box. Would you post your home address here in the Forum? |

I both buy and sell from my account. I will probably eventually open up 2 accounts.
