Hello, first post I'm new to errors and since this is the third 1941 I've found like this I figured ask someone. I have no idea if it is even an error but I actually like the oddity of it. Any info would be appreciated and curious if someone could tell me how it was distorted. Thanks

to the mix here at CCF! I hope you will enjoy participating in the discussions here and you may want to introduce yourself in the forum dedicated to that.

As for your coin, interesting look! Many experts lurking about, so they'll chime in. It looks like odd erosion to me, perhaps some acid put to it long ago. Let's see what the group comes up with.

To me it looks like heat and pressure has been applied in a vibration manner. Not sure what caused it but definitely a PMD.

Struck through cloth maybe or a very late die state? Looks cool either way and I'd hang on to it also.

PMD, might be acid but years ago this was described as the result of being being held against a rotating brush.
