I am so hooked on the 2014 Sacagawea reverse design. Absolutely stunning in a proof strike.

But why is the price so expensive? And another question is why the mintage numbers so low for them from 2012 and on even for the P and D designs?

Either way I want the whole collection and will be purchasing an album shortly. Anyone else share the same opinion?

The reason why the 2012 NA dollar proof is so expensive is that they were only found in that year's silver proof and clad proof sets, both of which sold out early unlike the proof sets before it, which sold well into the following year. The 2013s and 2014s have a tag along effect in perceived scarcity that proof sets are going to be as low as the 2012 sets from here on out.

@ Rupester, I like that idea with the dansco book and additional pages. Very cool. Thanks.

This is what I won thus far from E-Bay.

And on the verge of hopefully winning this one. Will see in 8 hours.

I am going to have to disagree on the 2014 NA Golden Dollar. I just do not like the design. I have a proof set & UNC set so I have seen the coin from different mints and this is still my least favorite NA Golden Dollar.

I am looking forward to the 2015 NA Golden Dollar.

The 14 design is cool, but the 13 is my favorite. I have the proof issue Dansco for Sacagawea before the NA concept was introduced. The album therefor has both in it, and I rather like it like that.

I do believe the 2001 proof is the key still, even with the low mintages for the 12s.

I agree that the Proof Sac's are very nice indeed...however I will keep my "Wounded Eagle" for 7070.
