I was not happy with the size of my images on the web site when I showed both sides of a coin. So now I put some images up with just the best side showing so that the image would appear larger to the viewer. Either downloadable file has an extremely high resolution file, but the single image just looks better on screen. Now I may go back and redo some of the earlier images of 2 coins. http://www.digitalrailroad.net/ctfr...7595&e=0&p=0What do you guys think? These coins are not for sale, but the photos of the coins are for sale and these hi-rez images are poster / magazine cover quality stock photography. errrror Edited by Errorcoins 08/01/2007 12:23 pm

I'm lost. Not sure about others but I know I wouldn't want to buy a photo of a coin or coins. I seldom if ever take photos of my own coins. Coins are not for sale? Reminds me of some gun shows I go to where there are some dealers that have a display with a sign that says not for sale. Why put something out in public and say not for sale? Most posts here with photos are just that, photos of coins. Not for sale is normal.

Carl, my market is not you. I am a stock photographer. This is Just content on the Internet for sale. Suppose Time Magazine wants to do a story on error collecting for some reason, Instant fulfilment of high quality imagery is what I offer them or any publisher including publishers of coin related media. Instant magazine cover or poster for a show.
I am sharing it with you for comments, and because I would think you all would want to see some very interesting coins.

And also for education of Different types of error that are out there. I still have many more to post.
And the importance of eye appeal.

Question for you Errorcoins- how much does a mushroom(cent or nickel) usually cost? Beautiful pics and coins I usually have to go to Fred Weinberg's site to see errors that dramatic. Have you thought about contacting Whitman or Krause in regards to selling your photos for publishing?

Bio, Mushrooms have tripled in price in the last 3 weeks, talk about a strong market.
It all depends on the coin. Nickels much more expensive than cents.
Prices are way too erratic to quote right now.

PS I need to find out about all the coin publisher contacts. I am kinda waiting until I have a lot more images up. Thanks for the tip.

I don't know what it is about the 2000 double-struck Lincoln, but that coin is such a perfect error I'm left spellbound. Hope I never run into one when I feel like I have spending money.

Dave, I bought that perfect double struck about 6 or 7 years ago. I overpaid for it at the time because of the eye appeal. It has always been one of my favorite error coins. I have always been happy with the fact that I over paid for it.
I have a couple other double strikes that are nice, but it would be very hard to find one this nice. I will put up a single photo of the coin in the future.

You have some great examples of errors there, I did not know some of them before your pictures.
Many thanks for showing us and I look forward to seeing many more.

Nice pics error! Personally I've never had an eye for errors, but the 2000 cent and Jefferson nickel on the cent planchet is forcing my eyesight to come around.
