Here's a very interesting mint mark!

At least I know this one isn't Machine Doubling!

The top half of the 'S' is filled. The bottom half is about half filed. The west of the top loop looks doubled.

1955-S-Roosevelt-RPM?

1955-S-Roosevelt-RPM?

I've outlined where the extra material is showing up.

1955-S-Roosevelt-RPM?

Thoughts?
Thanks!

Thanks again Copper. This one is still a suspect to me. I don't think it's an S/S, but I'm going to keep this one out of the stack for a while.

I always appeciate your sage advice!

The raised areas you have are (upper loop) normal for the punch, and (outside on the left) Machine Doubling. An S-mintmark RPM will almost always show the doubling in either the upper or lower serif, then other areas. The serif (outside edge) will have a split notch where the corners of the two punchings don't quite meet.

I might be able to tell if the pic was just a hair more focused. Thanks, Bill
