when I first saw this coin, I thought it had been struck by something, they I noticed the ring is centered. that would make it intentional, or possibly a broken die?   i do not see any hammer or strike marks on the back what ever made the ring was from the front

That looks like a HUGE double die to me!! Wow the more I look the more it looks like it! Naw it was my tablet.. And the damage kinda gave it a "look"

whats with the 2009 nickel? I cant find any...you guys having trouble with it also...or is it just my area

2009 was a low mintage year for all denominations. Some of us try to pull all 2009 coins, roll them, and stash them, speculating that they might go up in value some day 100+ years from now.

i have been doing that to the 04-05 nickels and the 09 penny I figure that buffalo is going to be popular again..100 years from now
