Very-Strange-Dime-Silver?

Very-Strange-Dime-Silver?

I found this dime while going through some mute coin. I saw the typical whitesh color like any other silver dime....but then I saw the date and the lack of a mint mark Thats when I got confused.

Any thoughts?I am still at work so I don't have access to my scale yet and I had to usey crappy phone camera. But its a new one to me so I had to make a post! I will weigh it when I get home this evening.

Also it was very shiny like a proof coin. Which was another thing that caught my eye about it. Hopefully its not a counterfeit....I hate counterfeiters.....s.

Possibly silver plated, like the State Quarters they sell on the home shopping channels. Accurate weight will tell for sure.

Weighs: 2.19. Dipped or plated with silver most likely. I took a closer look with a magnifier and I can faintly see some copper toning on the edge. Poop, foiled again!!
