You need to be looking at planchets that weigh the same in the same material to determine what the wrong planchet might be.

The coin is struck against an already struck coin -indent with brockage.
Similar to this dollar struck against (probably) a blank 5c.

or this threepence. They both don't have a brockage because the struck against coin was blank.

but I am slowly getting my head around how it was made and purple penny are they your coins in the pictures if so well done what are they worth and how common are they and thanks for the pictures buy I did work out about 1,1 grams was missing but its not missing hahahah I'm a idiot

the purple penny one stupid question I just don't understand how did the image in my coin get to be there in the low part. you can see the reverce image of the head side but it is higher up the coin so it cant be the head side image it has to be another coin or strike am I close
and who is right the error pros from America or the error pros from aus

This is an American 1 cent Broadstrike, Indent with a Brockage,notice the similar characteristics.
Not great pics but good enough to see what I'm talking about.
