At least I think it is greek. I have been watching this coin for a week, trying to figure it out, without success. I am not sure whether the reverse is a serpent entwined staff, or a monogram.

Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

its a roman provincial, a serpent entwined. Its being sold by Metdet, no?

it's a cool little provincial either way pish. I would guess diadumenian just because the head doesn't appear to be laurate...but it could be worn off..and there could be elagablus coins of the type that aren't laurate...so in other words...I'm no help at all.

but it's still a neat coin.
