just curious I see many coins on ebay that look extremely dull with no luster

is it just poor photos ?

I think older Cu-Ni coins lack luster.although I also find they are foreign coins..Some say no luster is also one of many sign's that coin is counterfeit....

I'm new to coin photography, but I find that if your photos show luster, you can't see the details. The photo has to be taken in a way that the reflection doesn't hide the coin.

Those look like scans not pictures so I'm guessing that's why.
