Went to a local antique fair today and ended up with quite the coin haul. I'm pretty pleased with it. 1780 Maria Theresa thaler re strike 1957 Canada quarter 1913, 1917×2, 1916S wheat cents 1951S mint set I paid 10 dollars for the MTTR, 20 for the 1951S mint set, 3 dollars for the quarter, and the wheat cents were free.

These are not coin related but they are silver and copper. The 3 rings and bracelet I paid 5 dollars. The sterling spoon was in a bucket of spoons that were 2 dollars each.

All look nice. The mint set especially, that Jefferson has some nice toning going on for it.

Thank you everyone! The restrikes are considered bullion IMO so I wouldn't pay more than a dollar or 2 over melt. They are pretty readily available so ask local dealers and you can probably find one for around melt.

The Jefferson is the opposite actually. It's just dirty. The MTT has some real nice toning though. Camera didn't capture it very well.

Thank you and thanks for the link. I weighed it last night, 25 grams! Not bad for 2 bucks.

Nice finds. I recently got two pages of silver Canadian 1967 coins at a yard sale. Do you any good sites that help you identify silver/silver-plate spoons? I can never tell if they're worth buying when I go picking.

That website typecoin linked is pretty good. There are tons of hallmarks so it would take quite sometime to learn them all but if you have a mobile device you can use to access that site that would be your best bet. I know most of the newer stuff usually has a mark that says if it is sterling or silverplate.
