The whole motto is doubled and has notching. I feel like this is the closest I've been to a real DD, but I can't find this variety anywhere which worries me..... I've never seen this much and degree all in one coin.

Machine Doubling. Notice on the bottoms of the letters, how the "doubling" reduces the thickness of the highest parts of the letters. It is most easy to see on GOD, where the lower parts of the letters have been smashed down by the Machine Doubling, making the high parts of the letters thinner than normal. On a true doubled die, the high parts will be thicker than normal. Hope this helps, and keep looking, there still are good doubled dies out there!

Thanks guys! I thought I had one for sure this time. As a matter of fact I thought it was the doubling on "GOD" that confirmed it. The "G" and the notching on the bottom left of "D" especially. Well, back to the hunt then! Thanks!

This is from a Grease Filled Die. The amount of grease is blocking the die unevenly. Making it look like machine damage. There until they clean out the die making the devices seem wider, but they are not a tall as a normal device.
