I looked for others on ebay, no luck. Do they sort of just come across 1 at a time and randomly? Or am I just bad at searching?

Price doesn't appear high to me.

What's a '44 with missing mint mark worth in that condition?

P.S. The bidder with the rating of 212 really wants the coin badly. He's even stacked his own highest bid at the top.

Well overpriced for any Henning ... the current high bidder wants this coin for reasons that he/she alone know.

I put this one on my watch list as soon as it started. I haven't looked at it again until now. It really is getting up there. Conversely my local dealer just called me today and said he had another Henning for me. I just picked it up. Forming a relationship with your local dealer is better than trying to get these on ebay.

Here is the Henning I bought yesterday. It is very similar to the one on ebay. It is the same type (no hole in R) and close to the same grade.

I've been looking at this one for a while too. You can easily get around $90 - $100 a coin if you have patience to time the listing right. Its all just supply and demand. This is literally the only 1944 henning I can see on sale anywhere on the internet at the moment. Since they are popular coins there is always demand for them. Generally when 2 are up for sale at the same time I've noticed hammer prices tend to be at $75 a piece, when there are 3 or more up at once they tend to end around $50 a piece.
