I got this Buffalo nickel in a roll I bought. It is missing a chunk on the right side of it. The outer edge is really smooth. Is this PMD?

Cindy, The metal appears raised near the bottom of the clip on both obverse and reverse, making me think it is PMD.

At first glance looks like a clipped planchet but I cannot confirm without seeing a side, just as likely to be PMD or tampering.
