Based solely upon the obverse's of these coins, would you pay $48 shipped for this lot? I did and I only took a pic of the one side because it was with my phone. I will be getting individual photos up later this weekend.

The Probus is a nice coin and it looks like you have either a Helena or Fausta. The others are worth a buck or two so you may have overpaid slightly but not by much.

Absolutely, for the fun of attrubuting them. :) That Probus is quite nice, and the one in the center is intriguing.

The coins themselves arent worth $48 (though there are some nice ones in there, silvering and etc). But its not far off and you'll certainly get more than $48 worth of knowledge out of them.
that being said, there could be some interesting reverses in there, like the greek, which could be good.

Thanks for your input on these. I am happy with the lot, they are far better than most ebay lots that sell for around the same money. I will probably need help with some of these, but I will do my best before I reach out to you guys. I thought I did ok at $3 each plus $3 shipping. I have done a lot worse in the past that is for sure.

You certainly didnt do badly by any stretch. Nearly all seem to have the ruler's name surviving. Perhaps your best resource here would be the Tesorillo page on Reverse types by Ruler.

I'm curious as to the coin to the right of the Probus. Letters don't really seem to match any name from that time era I can think of. I'm sure it's probably obvious to others here but I can't seem to match a ruler to it. Bust isn't really distinguishable either.

I think that one is either Claudius II or Aurelian, needs to be cleaned a bit to tell for sure.

Alrighty then........It would seem that a separate thread of closeups of each of these coins resized, cropped, & combined is a no-no so here is the link to the locked thread with the pics. https://goccf.com/t/178930

tim, you did ok, I've done much worse before. you'll get your 48 bucks out of this purchase, but wouldn't repeat it probably.
I liked the new pictures very much, thanks for posting those.

Yeah, I was pleased with the lot. I have bought other stuff from this particular group of sellers and have not been let down yet. They have ebay beat hands down.
