I have a 1949 Canadian Silver Dollar with an extra tag of silver off one of the 9's in the date. I have searched everywhere, but have been unable to find any mention of this error or a value.
Can't tell for sure exactly what it is. Can tell you that there is absolutely no premium for this. If you like it and find it interesting, by all means, keep it.
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning... -from PCGS website
There is a market for error coins, but something like this is really about eye appeal. you could list it on ebay and see what happens. Unfortunately that's probably the only place you might get more.
Errors like that are dime a dozen-----die chips, die pits, grease, Die Deterioration etc etc----no value----doubling etc The error has to be remarkable to have value-
