Hello,

I need opinions on the:

a) grade,

b) S number,

c) R number, &

d) the approximate retail value this coin would bring.

I believe that I may have unfortunately paid more than I should have for this coin.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

mdpmedia

This one's tricky for me with the lighting, but I would guess it to be a VG-8 Environmental damage because of what happened to the legend. If I had go guess a value I would say around 100$

I'm seeing F-15 minimum, possibly VF-20 or higher. There is not enough wear to the hair details to constitute a VG grade.

Serious strike weakness. I'd go VF25. Looks lacquered? I think this would grade.

That's what I'm leaning toward.

Would a R-3+ sound reasonable?

I would say VF-20, the reverse just looks an awfully weak strike. Obverse shows the actual detail the coin has.

VF details. The "ONE CENT" is corroded on the reveres but the leaves and legend are still nice. Like the obverse.
