Hi,

I am unsure if a variety would apply for this coin so please state what variety number and grade best match this Large Cent.

Gracias,

Agreed. The key feature is the point of leaf below the D. On 292 it is below the upright of the D, on 293 it is almost to the right edge of the D.

Thanks much to both Conder101 and amida17 for your continued assistance in clarifying this and other varieties and to DoubleDenomination for placing your initial post in my thread.

CCF certainly appreciates the contributions of both new and seasoned members.

As a result of personally just starting out with Large Cent variety identification I am honestly having great difficulty labeling and distinguishing between Large Cents possessing multiple varieties.

I have found that sometimes a single coin could have several different varieties and it can be tough zeroing in on the exact feature that correctly differentiates a coin as being a particular variety etc...

It would very extremely helpful to find out the location of an accurate on-line resource that summarizes the type of written information that Conder101 stated about this 1813 coin, for example, and a specific feature's location and appearance that each Large Cent variety exemplifies.
