So got a new book today.. Swapped some silver quarters for silver dimes and out of 145 to date dimes I am only missing 17 silver dimes and 8 clads! What a fun day!! Back to the coin shop do some more dime swappings!!
1946 pds are bu and 1965-2014 are or will be BU aside from 82-83 at the mercy of the coin gods on those ones!! Woohoooo coinacopia

Update: did some swapping and definitly scored!! All bu 9 silver 52-54s-55-55s-59,60,61,62,63,64 and 76p&d and 82 d bu! Down to 9 silver 6 cuni's woohooo this was disturbingly easy!! I may swap out my less than stellars for BU after they are all in the book a little upgrading so to speak update: 2012 p&d and 2014 p&d in the mail!
Need: 1948 PDS,1949PS,1950P,1952S,1953p,1954p, 1982p,1983PD

Looks like they're coming along nicely. Looking forward to pics. I always enjoy looking at Dansco's because I don't have any myself since everything I have is in 2x2's or slabs as I don't pursue date sets.

Zxcccxz..im a huge fan of the Dansco books, I'm quite I'm pressed with this Roosevelt book. 4 page book that will take me until 2026 assuming the mint doesn't redo the dime of course. Has some great information about the history of the coin and the president. They all do, I fought it all the way but I had lots and lots of BU dimes and just thought date searching them would be a pain. I just threw together a 5 dollar roll trying to get 40's and 50 and of that original 5 dollars I got 28 coins out of that for the book, took the remaining 22 coins back to the coin shop and instead of digging them out I just attacked the BU-folder they have and grab a whole slug of BU dimes 3 a piece. And only got one duplicate. I may go over tommorow and get the remaining 9 I need. I have a great coin shop and they take really good care of me. I didnt even scratch the surface of what they had on hand. I've been going through them tonight and the grades were alot better then I was expecting on the picker coins. If I stick to my au-bu requirements I think only 5-6 will need replaced!! Pretty fun stuff!! Its my 20th dansco. Great for storing the coins and perfect for conversation piece. I'm sure other companies have great books as well. I just like the brown book and the great slipcases!! My next one will be the ATB p&d book whenever dansco makes another batch!! Ill do a dansco thread soon have a show and tell of my small collection of US modern currency and variety coins |

Not many albums have anything on the half dollar albums!! The monster kennedy 1964-2012 pdss is the beast!! Hahaha

Update:, found the most amazing 1947 P looked as if someone had glued it to a posterboard or something..could just see a tiny portion of the frost on it..well a nice acetone bath did amazing job..a tiny bit of the glue remains but what a awesome find!! Great coin!! Todays hunt was spectacular! The remaining 3 coins stand as 1953p,1982-1983p three to go!! Bought a roll of dimes and got three 83d's haha sooooo close!! I was hoping for a 24 hour completion!! Was so much fun!! Now its Buffalo nickel time! |
