Hey everybody, gotten addicted to this coin collecting hobby. Since I like this so much I'm looking to upgrade my Whitman Penny Folders to a couple of Dansco Albums (8100 & 8104). Anybody have recommendations of where to purchase albums? Did a little searching online and the least expensive place I could find was a site called jakesmp.com. For the two albums and shipping it would cost $50. If anyone knows someplace cheaper I'm all ears. Thanks

Found an earlier topic on here where somebody asked the same question as me. Jakesmp.com was listed as a suggestion so I think I am going to give them a shot since they are about $7 less than any of the other sites suggested. Plus they're only one state away so hopefully that means the shipping will take less time.

Do you guys buy the slipcovers for your albums?

I do not, but the answer depends on where you will keep them. If they are on going to be on an exposed shelf in a room, I would recommend the slipcovers for added protection.

The ones I have I got at http://www.wizardcoinsupply.com/pro...coin-albums/

You can get a bit of a discount if you are an ANA member.

So far I have had NO problems with the things I have received from them.

It's where I got my first bottle of Verdi-care as well. I still have Not tried that out yet though.

Just another option. If there are any coin shows or coin shops near you ask for used albums. I have picked them up for as little as $6 a few times.

My LCS sells very nice used albums for $5
I get them used at coin shows from $2 to $7.50
Then I have gotten new (in plastic) albums for $10 to $15 on ebay
