I don't think the inscription is written in Chinese.
My guess is that it is written in the
Khitan language which was used during the Liao Dynasty (907-1125).
The Khitan language is not well understood.
The inscription "may" be the same as found on
this Liao Dynasty charm.
According to the Chinese website, the Khitan inscription translates as "wealth, longevity and forever prosperous".
However, your specimen does not impress me as being either old or authentic. I believe it is probably a modern reproduction.
