Hi guys I have 26 ounces of silver bullion and would like to know is where can I hide it? A safe is not a option so I was thinking where to hide it in the event they brake into my house and steal everything.

Hiding valuables ... a safe is not a requisite...
Here's just a short list of places.
Aquarium Freezer Between floor joists Arm's length deep in a heating register In a 2L carton of milk Build a false front in your closet Below the vanity of bathroom sink Toilet resvoir On the back of a photo or framed art
Remember it's just bullion so it's only value is only metal content.. so you're only limited to your imagination...

Why no safe?
You can always get an old printer or scanner and break it and dump them in there =)

Quote: Their's always under a mattress. OK so this might be an urban legend but I have to tell it... some old lady was surprised to find that her children had done a nice thing for her and bought her a new mattress. She freaked out because she had been stuffing the old mattress with money for years, and it had been removed by the delivery men. There were thousands of dollars rotting in a dump some where... but yeah great hiding place. Quote: 26 ounces of silver bullion Well AgCoinAu only mentioned 9 spots, the mattress makes 10. If they are single ounce rounds then split them up 4 in the aquarium, sunken treasure 4 buried under that loose stone in the back yard path, buried treasure. Here's another idea, think like a thief, look at all the places that you might think to look if you were breaking in then find the places that you wouldn't think of, like arms length into a heating register. If you split them up into 6 groups of 4 then even if they find 3 of them you still have half Edit: 4 groups of 4, 2 groups of 5 or a few threes Edit: clarified the urban legend

Unless kept in a firesafe, I wouldnt stash it in the house. Fire is more probable than theft. Bury it.
When I listen to LED ZEPPELIN...so do my neighbors... Roll hunting since '77 Dirt fishing since '72

Quote: Fire is more probable than theft It all depends on where and when you live, London 1666, yeah 'bury' is a good idea. But according to the evening news crime is rampant in all areas except the "Police States of America" I don't think we have sent "Peace Keeping TROOPS" into South Africa lately. So crime must be rampant there

There's always curtain rods! The advice here can also be used to ruin someone's house at a party, but instead of hiding silver, hide shrimp. Eventually it will become uninhabitable.
But, forgetting where you hid it is also a big danger.

Get some plastic pipe and glue threaded fitting on both ends. Put the silver inside, and put some dessicant, or Stay Dry in with the coins, and bury them where no one can watch You do it. It worked for Jesse James, but He had to use glass jars, which can break and cut the person who is stealing them. Make a map of where You buried them, and wear the map in a locket around Your neck. That's what I do, but I buried a bunch of gold coins on Saddle Ridge. Safe and sound. I sleep so good after hiding them so well.
