I recently bought a NGC graded 1795 Swiss canton Bern thaler. It is identified as Dav-1759/KM-149, however is actually a Dav-1760/KM-160. The difference as you can see from the links below is the number of feathers in the hat. The one I have seems to be much rare than the usual KM-149. Has anyone experience in getting these obvious errors corrected by NGC ? If so what is the process ? Thanks a lot.

What NGC thinks I have,

what I really have ,

An NGC customer could likely tell you more. But I recall NGCs guarantee doesn't cover misattributions. However I think a phone call would be in order and point out that in their price guide they actually differentiate between the tow and accordingly you think this indicates they should have the skills to tell the difference and therefore they should re-do the job for free

Looking at the coin, the obverse matches the Dav. #1759 while the reverse matches the Dav. #1760. as the arms of Bern is not within the oval frame. Interesting coin none-the-less with a cracking design.

I see WAY more mis attributed coins in NGC holders than all the others, even including a lot of the basement slab companies. They really need to step up their game IMO.
