I think it is a silver antoninianus (hope this is right). Weight is 5.4 grams and test around 75% silver with a spectrometer. Any assistance and values will be greatly appreciated. echizento Moderator United States 23731 Posts	Posted 06/05/2014 1:48 pm Yes it is a real coin of Gordian III. This is a silver Antoninianus with the reverse of PROVID AVG. I would give it a grade of EF and a value of $40-$50. Report this Post to the Staff

sel_69l Bedrock of the Community Australia 21788 Posts	Posted 06/05/2014 10:15 pm There are some nice genuine Gordian 111 antoninianii over low 5 grams weight out there, but they are few and far between. On pictures presented here, I see no reason to doubt this coin.
