Pretty good show, enough vendors to cover most everything. Prices were higher than what can be obtained online except a few bargains I ran across.

A Beautiful 1880S Morg, has to be 62 or better for $35, an unc 46 Rosie for $2 and a 47D BU+ (looks almost prooflike)Rosie for $5. Those and a 2014 ASE, a 76 bicentennial silver quarter and an 82 George half proof were my haul for today, spent $80.

I went to this show also.
Overall I had fun...

This was the first time I have been to an actual coin show in many years. In some ways it brought back the nostalgia of going to shows and even coin shops themselves-- from 80's and 90's...but on the other hand it was very difficult to look at a coin and not be able to immediately go to the internet in real time and search guides and search ebay and everything else to compare.

The part that bothers me a little is I'm not 100% sure I enjoyed it as much as I used to...I think I may actually prefer the internet to a coin show. The thrill of the hunt is there both ways.

I will probably have to visit the one in Biloxi as a second test to see if it sparks the in person bug again.

never been to a coin show. I have been to quite a few gun shows
if a coin show is the same as a gun show
the goods are trotted out..displayed on a table
with the vendor's asking asking to much
usually how it goes
friday..vendor's asking to much..snarky attitude if asked to
...... .give deal
saturday..vendor's willing to talk about a lower price
.......
sunday, vendor will give you a deal
.......
sunday.afternoon..vendor's will give deals.does not want to
........ lug his stuff back home

Yea Fro, this was only my second coin show but I've been to countless gun shows. I really have no trouble finding something to spend money on at both.
