Anybody going to this show next weekend? The last show I missed because I ended up going to the one in Bellingham instead.
I was not terribly impressed with the turnout at the show (in Bellingham), however one seller told me that every week end you could travel around and go to a coin show. He mentioned that he was retired and that was all he did.
I am not sure what to expect at the Vancouver show as its inside the mall (as far as I can deduce)

I'll be there. You likely won't be terribly impressed with this one either. It's in an auditorium attached to the west side of the mall next to the library.

Wanted to go but busy again this coming weekend - one of these days I'll get there. I wonder if falling on Fathers day helps or hinders the attendance, or is it always on that day? Anyway I hope it works out for everyone.

I went to their last show back in January. A LOT of generic Canadian stuff - but if you are into international coins, there are a few dealers with an random assortment and sometimes good buys can be found digging through their coins if you know what you are looking for. I bought a few coins that ended up being worth considerably more than what I paid.

At the last show in April, there were more dealers than buyers. Different scenario this time, buyers outnumbered dealers, only 11 dealers there, seems there were more tables of postcards and stamps than coins. Found a couple of interesting coins anyway.

My question... why is the location of the show relavant? Wouldn't it be the people and the items/coins that make a show fun or interesting? Or is this just the fact that it's location... there really won't be much traffic aside from those already informed..

The location of the show is not relevant. I was merely giving directions to the OP as he/she assumed the show was inside the mall.
PS anyone else attend? What are your thoughts? Is interest in this hobby declining in the region? Or are both buyers and sellers relying more than ever on online venues?

I was there yesterday, mainly to meet a buddy though. None of the larger dealers were there, like Joe from J&M, Hugh Powell or even Phil's bills.....I just don't see many young people there who are going to continue the hobby. There was some interesting stuff there,, but the RCM has a captive audience with all their various crap, and I don't see it turning into collector interest for the older stuff.
