After a 20 year absence from coin roll hunting, I started back last month with rolls of quarters to help my kids complete their collections.

The first time I went to the bank, I got two rolls of quarters. I quickly went through them and found a 1959-D Washington quarter!!

I never found a silver quarter when I was actively CRH years ago

In terms of silver, quarters are the least likely to get you silver. It does happen from time to time though. For example, I have found several silver dimes but only 2 silver quarters.

The silver quarters are out there, congrats!

One may think it's all in the luck of the draw, but it's all about VOLUME!

If I were to search stricktly quarters, my average find (by weight) would be the same as my silver dime average, which has remained at about 1/$150 since I started six years ago. The only reason I don't search quarters consistently, is because of lack of variety in silver quarter finds.

Nice! I've only done a couple boxes of quarters, but perhaps I'll give one another go to upgrade some and maybe find some silver.

Nice to see your back in the hobby.

I opened over 12 boxes of Quarters before my first hit.
Now I grab bags from banks with coin counters and out of the 10 bags I have done so far only 2 skunked bags.

Usually 1-2 per bag and the best was 4.
But they are out there.

Good Luck
