1983-P Off Center Washington Quarter

Fun morning hit up 3 flea markets this morning straight to the junk bin...I got the 1983-p and a 1980-p $15 for the 2 off them. Not sure if that was a good deal or not but seemed about right. I also got a really cool double straight clip 1970 quarter.

Coop tipped me off to this post. The date seems to be cut off at the bottom by a curved line. I'm wondering if we're looking at a die attrition error in this area. Could you provide a close-up of the date and the area around it? Thanks.

These new photos seem to show the digits flattened and lying in the floor of a shallow groove. That would indicate post-strike damage, perhaps the impression of another quarter's design rim.

If you look close especially at the 3, you can see it completely.
The lower half is below that line but not sure if that line
is incuse or not.

The video confirms post-strike damage, in my estimation.
