Ok so I previously posted about my FS-25-1963-101 gorgeous coin!! Still in the 1963 mint set, well I have had the coin for about a week now, decided to look at the rest of the coins in the mint set, and too my absolute amazement sitting there is a FS-10-1963-101!! All in one mint set CPG refers to it as the forked tail variety. It has doubling on the date initials and IGWT, wow!!
So doing some numbers from my Red Book on mintage numbers...
In 1963 philly minted 123,650,000 dimes average die life in the cpg states average 300,000 total coins from that die..I cannot be sure on rehub or what now but thats the numbers
The 63 quarter there was 74,316,000 coins minted average die life 750,000
So whats the overall odds of these two coins landing together in the same mint set? This is just a cool mint set!

"run on" a bit but I do that too sometimes.

Yeah I'd say that is pretty long odds

nice one

edit:

my post #1077... It's the price of a cheese pizza and a large soda at 'Panucci's Pizza' $10.77

Just wanted to get this correct. You found both a dime and a quarter
variety in one mint set ?
Because I'm too lazy to go look up both numbers what are these ?
DDO's, DDR's, ?
And, what are there values. I mean, on ones that have actually sold.

Yes DDO quarter and dime, values? I would think the set would be more valuable together? But to grade it would require it being dismantled, I will just leave it complete. I will post a pictures of the entire set soon.
