I'm fairly new to "stacking". I have noticed today that I'm about $400 at spot shy in silver of my gold stack. Not for any reason really I didn't plan it like that at all, but now I'm keen to get the silver stack's value to the same place the gold stack is at. I'll probably keep them fairly close going forward as I add to them.

How do you guys do it? Is there a "standard" that I am missing?

Personally I don't stack that way,its more of what I can afford and what appeals to me at the time, if I see a tube of say silver mapleleafs I may buy them instead of a 1/2 oz of gold, then at a later date instead of silver I might buy the 1/2 oz of gold, I don't have a ratio as such as far as the value of my stash goes.

I think alot of people tend to collect more silver then gold. 25 ounces of silver just seems like a better deal then 1/2 oz of gold for around the same price.....that said, I like gold better then silver...

the current gold to silver ratio of 60+ is quite high historically,
so people are also holding more silver in the hope that it will
outperform gold on any sustained rise.
