Hello,

I'm primarily interested in US coins, but have come across a 1757 6 pence coin that really interests me. It's got nice toning and has been graded XF40. Can anyone help me on an appx. value for this coin? Thanks!

Forget the grading.
A US grade is worth about diddly a F UK is about £10...xf 40 is crap.IMYOP.
You can scoop these up in a bucket load.

XF probably translates to about F or gF in UK grading like Peter said.

Despite it's age, it's a quite common coin. That said, while these probably are readily obtainable in the UK for £10 ($17) or so, I wouldn't expect to pay any less than $30-$40 for one here in the States.

Yeup, with patience higher grades can be had cheap. People dig these things up in better grade than that.
