I thought it would be fun it come up with some new ideas for US coinage. This would be nothing to get upset about, just throw out any idea you may have.

These are 3 I came up with. 2 are based on the dime being the smallest denomination and 1 with the quarter being the smallest. Let's see yours!

10c Based
.10
.30
.50
.70
1.00
2.00

10c Based (less coins)
.10
.40
.70
1.00

25c Based
.25
.75
1.00
2.00

Also, if you have any interesting/weird names for your new denominations, please feel free to share.

If you are talking about coin and possibly bill denominations that we think might be interesting to see, mine are:

1 mil coin
2 mil coin
quarter cent coin
75 cent coin
$3 bill
$70 bill
$700 bill (if we brought back the $500, and $1,000 bills)
$7,000 bill (if we brought back the $5,000 and $10,000 bills)
And my most two popular and most logical, the $200 bill and the $2,000 bill(which I can actually "see" happening)

For coins, the most efficient with the least denominations is 1, 10, 25. You can give change for any amount with a maximum of 10 coins.

I have a fantasy writing project on hiatus (I feel it's way too big for a first time story) and I'm basing its currency on the £sd just to confuse my readers. There will be a lot of denominations but it's part of the confusing bit. Everything will be re-named too.

Wouldn't it be cool to have a $0.75 coin?

Well, if we removed the inflation factor and reverted to the 1870's era coins (rounded of course), we would have:

0.20 cent coin (cent)
0.40 cent coin ( Two Cent)
0.60 cent coin (trime)
1.00 dollar coin (nickel/half dime)
2.00 dollar coin (dime)
3.50 dollar coin ( Twenty Cent Piece)
4.50 dollar coin (quarter)
9.00 dollar coin (half dollar)
18.00 dollar coin (gold/silver dollar)
45.00 dollar coin (quarter eagle)
55.00 dollar coin (three dollar gold)
70.00 dollar coin (four dollar stella)
90.00 dollar coin (half eagle)
180.00 dollar coin (eagle)
360.00 dollar coin (double eagle)

That would be pretty cool, no?
If anybody wants to know how I got these values, they were calculated with http://www.westegg.com/inflation/
