How does a coin get into such awful condition in such a short time for circulation ?
Apart from the gouges and the edge, I grade it GVF, ie between VF and EF.
I might be a lone voice in the wilderness but I don't discount the grade by the damage, that's too simplistic.
If I were buying the coin, I'd expect the seller to describe the non-grade damage accurately.
I think I would prefer a coin graded GF with no edge damage or gouges.
I hope that helps.
