I kinda remember a post on this awhile back but could not find it. I got a 2009 $20 today where the SN and the district, G7 was punched in so hard it shows through on the reverse as being raised. Any premium? Thanks much,

No, no premium. It is called "heavy embossing" or something rather and is preferred for collectors of gem uncirculated bills but probably no premium if any would be given only because of it.

No premium over face on modern notes. On older notes - perhaps. PMG has a designation "great embossing" on such notes.

Not sure if I had a hand in the other similar post OP mentioned, but here are 4 bills I pulled with this feature: http://screencast.com/t/3j51zgafsO38

As Jim says above, probably nothing more over face if modern....but if you hold onto them for some time....they wont be modern anymore!

I'm not even sure of anyone who collects such a feature. I guess I do since I have 4 of them but I wouldn't see myself paying much over face for the feature. I hardly see them in circulation actually.
