doesn't seem too many coins this time, which is I guess is a good thing, hopefully someone will post a more detailed description

Maybe the mint is catching on to the fact they've bled the collector dry of money!

No, I think, it's a "quit time" for purchases. People spend on vacations, outdoor and in RCM salesmen understand it. With all the monthly series, the amount of the coins isn't small, it just not so big. *Native salmon sounds interesting *and what about the Eagles, no single eagle this release?

Quote: I dont remember seeing any eagles I just jocking about "eagles" coins....we've seen them enough recently. And thanks a lot for the first pre-pre-pre-view. Well...will wait for the native coin - to have one coin per release - this is great.

Trillium Flower coin? Is that a series? Would the Mint finally start a Provincial Flower series?

Quote: Those 7 native teaching coins sure are nice...look forward to seeing the new release... As I understand from the first post - the "native salmon coin" - this is something else, not related to the "Teachings" series. I looking for something in the style of: 2005 $30 Totem Pole Proof Silver coin http://www.ebay.ca/itm/2005-Proof-S...00437866526? br / pt=US_Canadian_Coins&hash=item45f37e081e or: 2010 Canada $3 Fine Silver Coin - Return of the Tyee (but bigger in the dimensions) http://www.ebay.ca/itm/2010-Canada-...em19ec12327bQuote: Trillium Flower coin? Is that a series? Would the Mint finally start a Provincial Flower series? That will be a dream! I suspect this relates to the series of the pad-printed coins, where the Cactus was the first.

The only coin I'll purchase for July is the silver Woolly Mammoth, mintage $7500. I like it far better than the $20 silver dinosaur series which also has new coin for July(Xenoceratops). Another coin I think worth mentioning is the 3rd coin in $5 silver banknote series. It depicts a lion which was on a banknote from the Northern Crown Bank. I'll wait to see this one in-hand, but might be my first purchase of the series. I can't recall a lion on any previous RCM coins? do you?

The following come to mind, but it's likely there are others: - 1912-14 $5 and $10 gold coins - 1967 $20 gold coin - 2004 Four Queens $300 gold coin - 2007 60th Wedding Anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II $500 gold coin & $50 silver coin - 2008 Alberta Coat-of-Arms $300 gold coin - 2012 Quebec Coat-of-Arms $300 gold coin - 2012 War of 1812 $10 gold coin - 2012 The War of 1812 King George III Peace Medal $250 Silver kilo coin - 2014 Canada Coat-of-Arms $300 gold coin

I see a theme here, it looks like the lions are all done on gold coins. It would be nice to have one on a silver coin, for a change.

Touche...although I was talking about a realistic depiction of a lion.

It's one cool looking note, I'd like to have it in my collection, I bit it's pretty pricey too. The lion there does look nice. I have the first & second banknote coins. I like the series very much, but have decided to hold off buying coins until at least sept- oct. spend money on summertime activities. The government can do without my tax pennies for a few month lol. It how I look at my RCM purchases, the money ultimately goes to the government when I buy mint direct.
